Descrizione

The course introduces narrative CVs as an alternative to traditional, metric-driven curricula vitae. It explains why narrative CVs are increasingly adopted in research and funding evaluations, and how they support a more qualitative and responsible assessment of careers and achievements.

Participants will learn how to describe their research outputs, teaching activities, leadership roles, collaborations, and the societal impact of their research using concise, evidence-based narratives. They will be guided through an actual template and offered guidelines to create their first. or refine their current, narrative CV.

Through short lectures, practical examples, and reflective exercises, the course provides hands-on guidance for drafting effective narrative CV sections. By the end of the course, learners will be able to design an effective narrative CV, will be aware of the different models adopted in European and international evaluation frameworks, and will confidently use it for grant applications, career progression, and professional assessments.

Acknowledgements

The project has been developed within the framework of the University of Padova CoARA (Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment) Action Plan, and with the support of the International Research Office of the University of Padua. The Digital Learning and Multimedia Office of the University of Padua provided the digital resources and infrastructure.
