Salta Description

Description

The course serves as an update on comfort-related aspects, addressing not only the basic principles and recent regulations, but also providing assessment tools (calculation methods) to tackle issues that are not usually easy to resolve. In addition, the course allows for a deeper exploration of comfort topics, with particular reference to recent advances in the literature, both in terms of predictive aspects of indoor comfort (based on dynamic building simulations) and aspects related to monitoring under real operating conditions.

Marco Marigo

Michele De Carli

Mechanical Engineer with a Ph.D in Energy Management. He is full professor in the University of Padua, teaching “HVAC systems”, “Renewable Energy Technologies” and “Urban Energy Planning”. The research activity is related to energy in buildings and communities and the use of efficient systems for providing comfort and sustainable energy in buildings.

Risultati di apprendimento attesi

The course revisits the fundamental concepts of comfort and puts them into practice in two ways:

  • In the case of dynamic building simulations to predict comfort conditions, with particular reference to buildings featuring advanced or complex envelope types (large glazed surfaces);
  • In the case of in-situ assessments, it addresses topics related to the available instruments and their potential for real-time and remote management.

The course requires some basic knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and building energy systems. However, it can also be attended without specific prior knowledge in these areas.

Salta Enrolment and micro-credential

Enrolment and micro-credential

Course enrollment includes:

1. Basic Course Access: €150

  • This allows you to attend all lessons.
  • It does not include access to the Certification Area for the issuance of the Micro-credential.

2. Access to the Certification Area: additional €150

  • Includes:
    • Final assessment test
    • Issuance of the Micro-credential

For University of Padua graduates

University of Padua graduates are entitled to free enrollment (except for a € 22,5 stamp duty fee and administrative fees) in one online professional development course per year, including the corresponding micro-credential, among which is this course.
To be eligible for the fee exemption, you must log in to the platform using SPID, CIE, or SSO so that the system can verify your fiscal code.

Requirements for the issuance of the Micro-credential

To receive the Micro-credential, in addition to payment, you must:

  • hold the required academic qualifications;
  • complete all mandatory course activities;
  • pass the final test;
  • fill in all required fields in your user profile;
  • upload a valid identity document.

After enrolling in the course, you will find all the instructions needed to make the €150 payment required to access the Certification Area and obtain the Micro-credential.
