The ALMA Project – Advance Learning Multimedia Alliance – is funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU, under Mission 4, Component 1, Investment 3.4, and Sub-investment 3 “Digital Education Hubs” (DEH) of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
The primary objective of the ALMA project is to create an integrated educational ecosystem that leverages advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, to innovate teaching methodologies and learning models in higher education. Through a network involving numerous Italian universities, ALMA represents a concrete response to the challenges posed by the digital transition of the national academic system and aims to make university education more accessible, flexible, and personalized.
The project is structured into various actions and activities, among which Work Package 1 plays a central role. This package is dedicated to the design, production, and publication of MOOCs of interest to the university context. Its main goal is to provide free educational resources aimed at students, faculty, and technical-administrative staff. These resources are designed to disseminate and develop pedagogical knowledge and technical skills for digital learning, in addition to disciplinary content.
ALMA places the participants of its initiatives at the center of the educational process, supporting them in developing the skills required by partner Universities and the current and future labor market, thereby contributing to transforming the University into an open, flexible, and innovation-oriented system.
